Incorporating Walnutwood, Beechwood, Burlwood, Rosewood, Bamboo & Maplewood (off-cut pieces of Skateboard Decks) into some of our models to promote Eco-Friendly materials! We are creating a unique Eco-Conscious look & inspire a deeper connection to nature and purchasing with a purpose!

Maple Eyewear is using Bamboo to make a stylish accessory & also to uplift the Underprivileged Townships of South Africa.

In our 5 year Philanthropy Projects we are growing Bamboo in the townships of South Africa, providing a bottomless building material, encouraging small business in underprivileged communities, promoting abundance, healthy living & renewable resources!

• Bamboo can be used to make furniture | decking | tiny houses | green houses | water pipes | cups | bowls | firewood | clothing.

• It's the fastest growing plant on the planet!

• Known as the miracle plant it can grow 3 ft (1m) per day | 1.6 inches (4cm) an hour!

• Most trees take 30 - 40 years to grow to maturity and then are harvested.
​
• Bamboo can grow to twice the size of a palm tree in 2 - 3 years.
​
• Bamboo regenerates, if it's cut down it grows back without needing to be replanted.

• Bamboo is edible the roots & seeds are used to make Bamboo rice, flour and tea!

• Bamboo is extremely durable. Legend has it Chuck Norris is still brushing his teeth with the same Bamboo toothbrush he had as a kid!

We source our Maplewood from Off-Cut pieces of Skateboard Decks making our products Up-Cycled and Re-Purposed.

Off-cut Maple is an expression of our Brand originating from an industry of Surfers, Skateboarders & Creatives in San Diego, California & Cape Town, South Africa.

Maplewood is a hard wood. With layers in Skateboard Decks we are able to create a variety of color combinations.
Our Maple models are our Signature Models using Layered Maplewood, Polarized Lenses & Upgraded Hinges. They are exclusively available in select retail locations & directly from our website!
